We were driving up to Port Renfrew, BC when we happened to see the sign along the road. Always one to check out bees around the world, we stopped. We met and talked with Robert Liptrot. He had us try several of the local honeys. We also tried the Mead. They were very good.
We learned a little about a bush called "california lilac". We hope to get the proper name here soon.
We also came upon a "spirit bee" print. An aboriginal print of the bee. We found where to get one and went to the gallery. We have one at our home awaiting framing.

We were exploring the city and headed to Chinatown. We were looking at the vendors in the street market when we saw the honey display. We learned a little about the honies. And met a wonderful younglady who was attending Hamilton University in New York. She posed with the bee sign.
